‘Saints and Sinners’ goes to the regions

After a successful opening run in Accra, playwright Latif Abukarkar’s ‘Saints and Sinners’ play is set to tour  the Northern, Western and Ashanti regions.

The Radach Hotel in Tamale will host the play on Saturday, September 23 while the Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi has its turn on Saturday, September 30. The play moves to the New CCB Auditorium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi on Saturday, October 7.

The play which attracted hundreds of patrons during its premiere in Accra,  highlights the negative effects of galamsey on water, sanitation, hygiene and agriculture.

The play is expected to impact a lot of people  and mobilise  public support for the fight against galamsey as well as highlight the role and responsibilities of citizens and appropriate authorities in protecting the environment.

The cast for Saints and Sinners’  include Ekow Smith-Asante (Mr Blinks), Bright Kekeli Jefferson (Mr Agyeman), and Samira Suhyini,(Queen Mother).
