Chale Wote Street Art Festival Set to Take Over Accra from August 10–16

Accra is set to come alive as the annual Chale Wote Street Art Festival takes place from August 10 to August 16, 2026, at Nationalism Park and Black Star Square.

The week-long cultural celebration is expected to bring together artists, musicians, performers, creatives and art enthusiasts for a vibrant showcase of Ghanaian and international artistic expression.

The festival will feature a range of activities, including visual arts, live performances, installations, music, dance and other creative experiences designed to celebrate African culture and contemporary artistic talent.

With Nationalism Park and Black Star Square serving as key venues, the 2026 edition is expected to attract residents, visitors and tourists to Accra as the city embraces another week of creativity, culture and entertainment.

The Chale Wote Street Art Festival has become one of Ghana’s notable cultural events, providing a platform for artists and creatives to engage the public while promoting Accra as a destination for arts and culture.

As the festival continues through August 16, members of the public are encouraged to participate in the various activities and experience the energy and creativity on display across the festival grounds.
